According to The Athletic, Wolves are planning on recalling Morgan Gibbs-White from his loan at Swansea City.

The Midlands club are really struggling with an injury crisis at the moment, and despite the club putting out an encouraging fitness update on their sidelined stars on Wednesday, they need reinforcements.

The transfer market is open, but after spending big in the summer, Wolves don’t have the money to hand to go out and buy players, so they’ve looked towards an in-house solution in Gibbs-White.

The Athletic report that the Englishman could come in as Daniel Podence’s replacement after the Portuguese winger picked up an injury against Brighton that will keep him out for a few weeks.

The 20-year-old becomes the second Wolves loan player to be recalled this week after Niall Ennis’ spell at Burton was cut short, but while Ennis is reportedly set to be sold, Gibbs-White looks likely to be re-introduced into the first-team.

The midfielder is reportedly on his way back to Molineux, so it will be interesting to see how Nuno utilises him for the remainder of this season.

Unfortunately, Gibbs-White’s Swansea career didn’t go as planned as he picked up an ankle injury earlier this season, before returning to action at the weekend, but now he has the chance to get back on track with his parent club.
