According to both Football London and The Athletic, Tottenham Hotspur will not be adding a new attacking player to their squad on transfer deadline day.

Spurs had been linked to strikers all summer long, while in recent days they had been credited with an interest in Adama Traore, even agreeing a loan deal for the Spaniard before Wolves pulled out.

After failing to bring Traore to the club, Nuno Espirito Santo and Fabio Paratici have decided that they don’t need to bolster their attack any further, and it’s a decision we can understand.

Spurs have a lot of attacking talent already at the club. Harry Kane is staying, while Son Heung-Min is also one of the best forwards in the Premier League.

Lucas Moura and Steven Bergwijn offer exciting options on the wing, while Ryan Sessegnon and Bryan Gil provide further depth and two youthful options.

Spurs’ business isn’t over yet. It is thought that the club will be bringing Emerson Royal in from Barcelona, which is a rather exciting addition.

Spurs already have the firepower to mount a real top four challenge this season, and as long as Son and Kane can stay fit, they shouldn’t live to regret this decision to not bring in a new forward.
