The West Bromwich Albion and Fulham coaches are among a number of names considered by Nottingham Forest owner Fawaz Al-Hasawi, according to reports.
Nottingham Forest want to speak to West Bromwich Albion’s Ben Garner regarding their vacant manager’s position, a report in Monday’s Sun newspaper (page 15, Goals pull-out) claims.
Garner is currently employed as Baggies assistant head coach and previously worked under manager Tony Pulis at Crystal Palace.
He is said to be one of a number of candidates being considered by Forest owner Fawaz Al-Hasawi, who remains in control after failing to sell the Reds to an American consortium this month.
And it is claimed that, prior to their takeover collapse, Forest made contact with Fulham over manager Slavisa Jokanovic, whose contract expires in the summer.
Fulham boss Slavisa Jokanovic
Jokanovic led Watford to the Premier League in 2015, and has transformed the Cottagers into one of the Championship’s top footballing sides since taking the reins a year ago.
However, with Forest 10 places and as many points behind Fulham in the table, the Serbian is unlikely to fancy a move to the City Ground at this stage.
And West Brom’s Garner, who has no senior-level management experience, is a far more realistic option for the Reds.

The two-time European Cup winners sacked Philippe Montanier earlier this month – but are said to have approached Jokanovic before then.
Is hiring West Bromwich Albion coach Ben Garner a wise move for Nottingham Forest?
