Nottingham Forest are keen to sign four-time Greek champion Kostas Fortounis from Olympiakos during the January window, according to Enswi.
The East Midland side is yet to really see the benefits of a close working relationship with the Greek giants.
Miguel Angel Guerrero, Panagiotis Tachtsidis, Stefanos Kapino, Andreas Bouchalakis and Patijm Kasami hardly set the world alight on the banks of the Trent after all. While Forest fans were far from impressed to see Tiago Silva, their most influential creative midfielder, go in the other direction last summer.
Fortounis, however, most certainly has the talent to thrive where Kasami and co failed at the City Ground.
The 51-capped Greece international is a gem of a footballer; the kind of unpredictable game-changer a goal-shy Nottingham Forest side are crying out for.
Blessed with a thunderbolt shot, defence-splitting passes and the ability to make defenders look like cones on a training pitch, Fortounis has seven assists and four goals to his name from 13 Super League appearances this season.

He also gave Manchester City no end of problems during a Champions League group-stage clash in November.
“I didn’t have the pleasure of watching Fortounis play today,” Pep Guardiola said after a nervy 1-0 win during which the Olympiakos captain sparkled throughout.
Enswi claim that Nottingham Forest will jump at the chance to bring Fortounis to England this month. Finally, their relationship with Olympiakos may be about to bear fruit.
Because, on talent alone, Fortounis is far too good for the Championship.
