Nottingham Forest are reportedly keen on Luke Steele.

According to the Nottingham Post, Nottingham Forest are in talks to sign free agent goalkeeper Luke Steele as Aitor Karanka looks for additional cover for Costel Pantilimon.
Forest have enjoyed a productive summer, bringing in Jack Robinson, Michael Dawson, Gil Dias, Joao Carvalho, Diogo Goncalves, El Arabi Hilal Soudani and Lewis Grabban, as well as bringing back last season’s loanees Pantilimon, Tobias Figueiredo and Jack Colback again.
Karanka’s side look to be gearing up for a promotion push this season, and a couple more additions may just give Forest the squad they’re looking for – and another addition could be very close.
The Nottingham Post report that Forest are now looking to land free agent goalkeeper Luke Steele, in a move which would boost Karanka’s already well-stocked goalkeeping ranks.
Steele, 33, spent last season with Bristol City after a stint with Panathinaikos in Greece, but after just 10 appearances in all competitions, he was released by the Robins this summer.
Now, the former Manchester United, West Bromwich Albion and Barnsley man could be headed for the City Ground, which could have a major impact on the rest of Forest’s goalkeepers.

Dimitar Evtimov and Stephen Henderson have already been told that they are surplus to requirements, whilst Steele’s arrival would allegedly make Stefanos Kapino available.
Pantilimon would serve as first-choice and Steele as his deputy, allowing youngster Jordan Smith to go out on loan, with Forest seemingly set to add a sixth goalkeeper to their ranks.
