The Burnley midfielder could be off to Nottingham Forest.

Nottingham Forest are ‘eyeing a summer swoop’ for Burnley midfielder Dean Marney ‘on a Bosman’ free transfer, according to the Daily Mirror [March 14th, page 51].
Marney, 34, has not played a single game for Burnley this season, having been ruled out with a ruptured cruciate ligament.
However, the former England Under-21 international is now fit again, and appeared on the bench in each of the Clarets’ last three Premier League matches.
Age Concern…
Nottingham Forest could see their central midfield options depleted this summer, with Jack Colback’s loan deal due to expire and Chris Cohen and David Vaughan both out of contract.

Although whether Marney, at his age, would be the most appropriate replacement is up for debate, especially with Ben Watson and Adlene Guedioura also the wrong side of 30.
Marney, who began his career at Tottenham Hotspur, has three Championship promotions on his CV – one with Hull and two as a Burnley player.
Would Marney be a good signing for Nottingham Forest?
