According to Sky Sports, Nottingham Forest are interested in signing Anthony Knockaert on loan from Fulham.
The Frenchman would become Chris Hughton’s first signing since replacing Sabri Lamouchi in the City Ground dugout earlier this week.
Knockaert has previously been coached by the new Forest boss. The pair spent time together at Brighton, managing to win promotion to the top-flight after finishing second in the 2016/17 campaign.
In fact, Sky Sports state that it was actually Hughton who signed the forward for the Seagulls from Standard Liege.
Knockaert went on to score 27 goals in 139 appearances for the south coast side.

Forest have until the 16th October to sign him, as a result of the domestic transfer deadline in which EFL clubs can continue to do business with Premier League sides.
Knockaert only signed for Fulham in the summer, as the Cottagers spent £10 million to capture him on a permanent basis after he spent last season on loan at Craven Cottage.
However, he is yet to make a Premier League appearance this season.
There is no doubt that the attacker will bring huge quality and know-how to Hughton’s ranks.

Knockaert won the Championship Player of the Year award for Brighton in 2017, after he scored 13 goals in 40 games as the BBC report.
Of course, he also helped Fulham earn promotion last season.
The Roubaix-born forward is an excellent player in the second tier, and would bring the mentality of a promotion specialist to the City Ground.
