The Portuguese talent is out of contract in the summer.

Reports in Portugal are suggesting that Nottingham Forest are keeping tabs on Vitoria Setubal star Andre Claro.

A Bola are claiming that the Championship side are interested in the forward, whose contract expires in the summer.

Nottingham Forest reportedly had scouts watching him in action as Vitoria defeated Estoril 2-0 last night. The Portuguese side won the game 2-0 with Claro coming off the bench in the 66th minute.

The 25-year-old is a former Portuguese youth international who came through the ranks at Porto before being released in 2010.

He then dropped down into the fourth tier of Portuguese football and thrived at Famalicao before spending three years at Arouca and joining his current club in July 2015.

He has scored 17 goals in 52 appearances for the club. Predominantly a centre-forward, he can also play wide left, and would appear to be an option either on a cheap deal in January or for free in the summer.

Forest already have two Portuguese players at the club in Hildeberto Pereira and Lica so Claro could be in good company if the club did decide to bring him to the City Ground in the near future.
