Quentin Vieira was released by Ligue 1 outfit Lyon but would surely love the chance to prove himself in the Championship with Nottingham Forest.

Former Lyon defender Quentin Vieira is on trial at Nottingham Forest and has been named in their 25-man squad for a pre-season friendly against Dundee, as reported by the Nottingham Post.
It has been a busy week for the Championship giants. They sacked Martin O’Neill on Friday and replaced the club legend with the unknown Sabri Lamouchi, just a few days after Sammy Ameobi was snapped up on a free transfer from Bolton Wanderers.
And should Vieira impress during Forest’s training camp in Alicante, there is no reason to suggest that he will not join Ameobi in signing for the two time European Cup winners before the 2019/20 campaign gets underway.
A French-born defender with Portuguese heritage, Vieira stands at 6ft tall and would give Lamouchi plenty of options across the defence due to his ability to play at centre-half and left-back.

The left-footed youngster failed to force his way into the first-team plans at Lyon and was released by the Ligue 1 giants earlier this summer.
And Vieira, who spent time with Lyon’s bitter rivals St Etienne in his younger days, will be hoping to be given a chance to impress under Lamouchi in the coming days.
