The summer signing is wanted by former prospective Forest owner Evangelos Marinakis.
Nottingham Forest striker Apostolos Vellios may be on his way out of the club after just half a season at the City Ground – according to a report in The Sun this weekend.
It is reported that Vellios is wanted back in Greece at Olympiakos and it is a deal that will be brokered by the former prospective Forest owner Evangelos Marinakis.

Vellios was signed when it appeared the current Olympiakos owner was set to take over from Fawaz Al-Hasawi at the City Ground. However, that deal never came off and now Marinakis is keen to have the player at Olympiakos.
The Greek international, formerly of Everton, joined Forest from Iraklis in the summer and has put in some impressive performances for the club – scoring six times in 21 appearances for the club.

However, he does face serious competition for a starting spot from Britt Assombalonga and Nicklas Bendtner at Forest – leaving his exit a certain possibility.
That said, both Assombalonga and Bendtner are injury-prone whilst the former is also likely to be heading to the African Cup of Nations with DR Congo in January.
So Forest boss Philippe Montanier will surely not want to see the back of the big Greek striker.
