The Bournemouth goalkeeper is also said to have been a target for the previous Nottingham Forest boss.

Nottingham Forest still want to sign Bournemouth goalkeeper Adam Federici – despite hiring Aitor Karanka as manager, according to two national newspapers.
The Sun on Sunday reported on 31st December 2017 – the day of Mark Warburton’s sacking – that Forest were planning a fresh move for Federici, who saw his Reds loan spell curtailed by injury earlier in the campaign.
Karanka was later hired as Warburton’s successor, and according to both the Sun [Goals pullout, 24th January ‘Goals’ pullout; page five] and the Daily Mirror [24th January; page 52] the Australian is still of interest to Forest.

The former reports that Federici ‘would head to the City Ground on loan for the rest of the season’.
Academy product Jordan Smith has spent the season as Forest number one, however, the 23-year-old is still five Football League appearances short of his half-century.

Federici, who has made 31 in the Premier League alone, spent much of his career at Reading.
The 32-year-old also has 16 caps for Australia.
Would Federici be a good signing for Nottingham Forest?
