Portsmouth and Bradford City were seemingly ready to buy the Nottingham Forest midfielder.

Nottingham Forest have ‘snubbed interest’ from Portsmouth and Bradford City to buy Ryan Yates, the Daily Mirror reports (liveblog entry 19:21).
Yates impressed against the likes of Portsmouth and Bradford in League One last season, the second half of which he spent on loan with Scunthorpe United, and it is claimed that Forest intend to send him to a Championship club until January instead.
According to the Daily Mirror, two of the Reds’ league rivals Bolton Wanderers and Rotherham United are keen to oblige.

Yates came through the ranks at Nottingham Forest, and had temporary spells with Barrow, Shrewsbury Town and Notts County before heading to Scunthorpe.
And the 20-year-old midfielder looks set to try his luck at a higher level next season, likely dashing the hopes of Portsmouth and Bradford.
Yates still has two years left on his Forest contract, although the Daily Mirror reports that is likely to be extended.
Are Nottingham Forest right not to sell Yates, amid rumoured Portsmouth and Bradford City interest?
