The Guardian claim Nottingham Forest are showing interest in West Ham midfielder Said Benrahma this summer as the newly-promoted side continue their wild spending spree following promotion to the Premier League.
West Ham have brought in Maxwel Cornet from Burnley and are now said to be considering the futures of both Benrahma and Nikola Vlasic. Torino are in talks to land the latter, who cost West Ham a princely £34.5million.
It seems the likes of Jarrod Bowen, Pablo Fornals, Cornet and Manuel Lanzini are preferred in attacking midfield at this moment in time. Benrahma, 26, has played 81 times for West Ham so far, having a hand in 25 goals.

But the Algeria international has dropped down the pecking order and David Moyes is still keen to improve his options in that area. The Guardian report that West Ham are willing to ‘listen to offers’ for both Benrahma and Vlasic.
They also state that newly-promoted Forest want to sign the ex-Brentford man. Steve Cooper has a wide knowledge of the Championship. He will remember just how good Benrahma was in the second tier, before his West Ham move.
Forest showing interest in West Ham midfielder Benrahma
Forest have brought in basically a new team. Of course, they had players in on loan and others left, including Brice Samba and Tobias Figuerido. They needed a whole heap of signings, but no-one could have predicted this many.
The likes of Oriel Mangala, Dean Henderson and Jesse Lingard have arrived. The club are also said to be in talks for a club-record move to sign Morgan Gibbs-White from Wolves. A deal which could be worth a huge £40million.
Benrahma is a top player and if he starts regularly, something he has not done at West Ham, he could thrive. But Forest need to be careful in terms of the amount of additions, and spending. A loan deal for Benrahma makes sense.
