Nottingham Forest have reportedly joined Aston Villa in the race to sign Manchester United’s Axel Tuanzebe.

According to a report from the Daily Mail, Nottingham Forest are interested in Aston Villa target Axel Tuanzebe, but Manchester United are not keen to loan the defender to a Championship club.
Tuanzebe is heading into this season off the back of an excellent second loan spell with the Villans where he helped Dean Smith’s side secure promotion to the Premier League.
Unsurprisingly, Villa are reportedly keen to bring him back for their first campaign back at the highest level, but the Daily Mail adds that both Forest and Stoke City are making ambitious moves to take him on loan.
The report adds that the Potters have made an enquiry, but a deal looks unlikely with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer less keen to let Tuanzebe head for another spell in the second tier.

Of course, that would also prove to be a blow for Sabri Lamouchi’s men if they are planning to step up their interest in the final days of the window.
Tuanzebe could be an inspired signing for any team in the Championship if the Premier League side decide that they are willing to sanction another loan deal. That looks unlikely as things currently stand, but perhaps that stance could change if Solskjaer is unsure he can provide the 21-year-old with the game-time he needs and there are no top flight teams planning to make a move.
