Nottingham Forest are looking for a new manager.
Nottingham Forest have failed in an ambitious approach for Sheffield Wednesday manager Carlos Carvalhal, report The Guardian.
Forest sit in 19th position in the Championship table, while the Owls are up in the play-offs in sixth place.
The Guardian report Forest requested permission to speak to Carvalhal about their vacant position, which was denied by Sheffied Wednesday.

The paper also claims controversial owner Fawaz Al-Hasawi has held conversations with ex-manager Billy Davies about a third spell in charge at the City Ground, although he has ‘shelved’ the idea of bringing him back for now.

Gary Brazil is currently in caretaker charge at Forest and led the team to a victory over a freefalling Bristol City at the weekend.
The current favourite for the position is Barnsley boss Paul Heckingbottom, but the Tykes are up in eighth place. The report states he could entertain the possibility of a move if his key players are sold this January.
