Nottingham Forest will try their luck again for John McGinn in January.

Forest boss Mark Warburton saw three bids rejected by Hibernian for the 22-year-old midfielder, before admitting defeat in the chase to sign the Scotland international.

Hibs rejected Forest’s offer of about £750,000, while Neil Lennon suggested that McGinn was worth £5 million.
It remains to be seen whether Forest can match Hibs’ valuation of the player, but certainly they are looking to test their resolve with another bid in January.
Lennon mocked Forest’s opening bid as ‘laughable’, so there is every chance Hibs would continue to reject offers if they do not match their valuation.

What makes the matter interesting is McGinn is happy at the Scotland club, enjoying his football there, and as such not pushing for a move.
McGinn joined Hibs from St Mirren in 2015 and has made 194 club appearances.
Hibs are sixth in the Scottish Premier League table, tied at same points with Rangers.
