Nottingham Forest won the race to sign Lewis Grabban earlier this month.
Nottingham Forest have committed to paying summer signing Lewis Grabban a wage of £35,000 per week, according to The Mail.
Forest beat competition from rival Championship clubs to land Grabban, who impressed at Sunderland last season and then Aston Villa, in two different loan spells.
Forest paid £5 million to sign Grabban from Bournemouth, where he was no longer required.
Grabban scored 20 goals in the Championship last season and Forest hope they are making a rock solid investment.
The striker could have a key part to play in Forest’s promotion bid, and he is one of several new signings at the City Ground to arrive this summer.
A weekly wage £35,000 could turn out to be be a fair amount, but there should be a note of caution.
Grabban penned a four-year contract and turns 31 in January. If he sees it out, he will still be earning £35,000 a week when he is 35.
Forest will hope he can be an instant success, and that he won’t be an expensive millstone around their necks by time his contract enters it’s fourth year.
