Aston Villa defender Alan Hutton could re-join Nottingham Forest.

According to the Nottingham Post, Nottingham Forest have offered a two-year contract to Aston Villa defender Alan Hutton in a bid to tempt him back to the City Ground.
Villa lost the Championship play-off final to Fulham last month, and their 1-0 defeat at Wembley Stadium has left them facing a financial nightmare.
With a reduction in parachute payments and hefty wages being paid out, Villa needed promotion to stave off monetary woes, but staying in the Championship means a mass exodus is expected this summer.

Villa may be forced to cash in on the likes of Jack Grealish and James Chester, but they may also lose defender Alan Hutton if reports are to be believed.
The Nottingham Post report that Hutton has been offered a two-year contract by Nottingham Forest, and a move to Villa’s Championship rivals could be on the cards as the Scot’s contract is up this summer.
Hutton, 33, joined Villa from Tottenham Hotspur way back in 2011, and whilst there were a number of times where his Villa career looked to be coming to an end, he has racked up more than 150 appearances for the club.

The right back was key for Steve Bruce this past season, playing 32 Championship games and even filling in at left back, but Villa haven’t been able to agree a new contract – and Forest are now prepared to pounce.
A deal appears to be on the table for Hutton, who played seven games on loan for Forest during the 2012-13 season, meaning a return to the City Ground could be close.
