Nottingham Forest have reportedly offered a contract to the free agent.
According to the Australian Daily Telegraph, Forest have offered a contract to Australian international Tim Cahill, who is available on a free transfer, after leaving A-League side Melbourne City last month.
The 38-year-old has enjoyed a successful 21-year career within the game thus far, after beginning his footballing journey at Sydney United in 1996.
He then joined Millwall in 1997, before spending time at Everton, New York Red Bulls, Shanghai Shenhua and most recently Melbourne City.
The Australian has racked up an impressive tally of 136 goals throughout his career, having played predominantly as a central midfielder, and he will surely prove to be a fantastic addition to whichever club wins the race for his signature.
The Australian Daily Telegraph claim that Cahill is being tracked by three Championship clubs including Millwall and Forest, who have both offered the 104-capped Australia international terms on a short-term deal.
Aitor Karanka is believed to be a big fan of Cahill, and if he manages to bring him to the City Ground, it could turn out to be a signing of real significance for Forest.
