Nottingham Forest are reportedly keen on appointing Oscar Garcia as their new manager.

According to France Football, Nottingham Forest have made an approach to Oscar Garcia about replacing Mark Warburton as the club’s new manager.
Forest took the surprise decision to sack Warburton on Sunday, bringing his nine-month spell at the City Ground to an end after 15 wins in 37 games.
That leaves Forest looking for yet another manager, and some of the frontrunners with bookmakers right now are Aitor Karanka, Paul Heckingbottom, Nigel Clough and Roy Keane, but a fast move is Oscar Garcia.

Garcia, 44, is the 4/1 second favourite for the job right now, and France Football report that contact has been made to the Spaniard over taking the job at the City Ground.
Garcia is also allegedly wanted by Olympiakos – an interesting quirk given that the two teams are both owned by Evangelos Marinakis – and Forest may need to get a deal done quickly if they are to bring him back to English football.
Garcia, formerly of Barcelona B, had spells in charge of Brighton and Hove Albion as well as Watford in the Championship, but his nomadic career has also seen him take charge of Maccabi Tel Aviv and Red Bull Salzburg.

Most recently, Garcia took charge of French side Saint-Etienne, but left his post in November after just five months in the job over a disagreement with the club’s hierarchy.
Garcia may look for a quick return to management though, and Forest will be hoping that they can win the race for his services in what could be an exciting appointment.
