Nottingham Forest are reportedly interested in West Ham United’s Sam Byram and Bristol Rovers’ Tom Lockyer.

It has been reported that Forest are monitoring Rovers right-back Lockyer, 23, as a potential alternative option if they are unable to secure the services of Byram from West Ham in the summer transfer window.
The Championship club are still keen on landing the former Leeds United right-back, according to the report, which claims that he is manager Aitor Karanka’s primary target, but the Reds are claimed to be looking at Lockyer as an alternative.
Good strategy
Byram, who can also operate as a right-winger, is a better right-back than Lockyer, but it is smart of Forest not to put all their eggs in one basket.

After all, West Ham could well decide not to sell the 24-year-old, who earns £30,000 per week as salary, according to Spotrac.com, and cost the Hammers £3.7 million in transfer fees when they signed him from Leeds in January 2016, as reported by The Independent.
Lockyer, who has made four appearances for Wales, made 37 appearances in League One for Rovers last season, scoring one goal in the process, according to Whoscored.com.
