Nottingham Forest reportedly want to sign Peterborough United star Marcus Maddison in the summer transfer window.

It has also been reported that Maddison has a release clause of £2 million in his current contract at Peterborough.

The report has further claimed that although Forest are keeping tabs on the winger, they are yet to decide whether or not they will meet the release clause.
Good player
Maddison is a very good and versatile footballer who can operate as a winger, left-back or attacking midfielder.

The 24-year-old has scored eight goals and provided 18 assists in 38 League One appearances for Peterborough so far this season, according to Transfermarkt.com.
Although it would be a risk somewhat for Forest to sign a player from League One in the summer transfer window, especially if they are aiming to finish in the top six of the Championship next season, but it would be a risk worth taking for the Reds.
