Gary Gardner has already been on two loan spells from Aston Villa to Nottingham Forest.
According to a report in the Daily Mirror, Nottingham Forest are interested in signing Gary Gardner from Aston Villa again.
Gardner has already enjoyed two loan spells with Forest, and the Reds are keen to bring the central midfielder back to the City Ground.
Gardner’s place at Villa has come under threat after Steve Bruce’s January additions.

The claret and blues have added Conor Hourihane and Henri Lansbury this month, meaning competition for places in central midfielder is now fierce.
It is widely expected to Gardner will have a fight on his hands to win a place in Villa’s starting line-up and Forest were keen to find out if the 24-year-old was available.

However, Gardner has told Villa that he has no interest in heading out on loan again, as he wants to prove his worth to Bruce.
Gardner is not the only player that Forest and Villa are negotiating for on deadline day, as the Reds are also interested in signing Ross McCormack.
