Nottingham Forest reportedly want Middlesbrough’s Adam Clayton and Girona’s Cristhian Stuani.
Adam Clayton failed to make an impact at Manchester City and his time at Leeds United was not exactly great either, but the former Huddersfield Town man is now one of the best midfielders in the Championship, and there is no surprise that Nottingham Forest are reported to be interested in the Middlesbrough star.
Clayton has been on the books of Middlesbrough since the summer of 2014 when he joined from Huddersfield for an initial transfer fee reported by Gazettelive to be worth £1.5 million.

It was current Forest manager Aitor Karanka who signed the former Leeds midfielder for Boro, and according to The Mirror (Transfer Live blog, 23:09pm, Saturday, June 23, 2018), the Spaniard wants to bring the 29-year-old to the City Ground in the summer transfer window, although Middlesbrough reportedly want to keep him.
The report has also stated that Forest want to sign 31-year-old former Middlesbrough striker Cristhian Stuani – who is playing for Uruguay at the World Cup in Russia – from Girona in the summer transfer window.

Forest manager Karanka worked with both Clayton and Uruguay international striker Stuani at Boro.
The two players know the Championship well, and they would be smart additions to a Forest side aiming to win promotion to the Premier League from the Championship.
