Nottingham Forest have seemingly narrowed their search down to four names with Ryan Giggs, Mike Phelan, Oscar Garcia and Kenny Jackett being considered.
A report in the Daily Mail has suggested that Nottingham Forest have drawn up a list of four names as they look for Philippe Montanier’s successor, and Ryan Giggs is one of the names included on the shortlist.
Giggs is still awaiting the chance to take his first permanent managerial job after leaving Manchester United in the summer, but the Mail suggests that current Forest owner Fawaz Al-Hasawi is keen to speak to him about taking the job at the City Ground.

Meanwhile, the Mail adds that Al-Hasawi – who remains owner after an American consortium’s attempts to take over the Championship side came to nothing last week (via Mail) – is also keen to speak to Mike Phelan, Kenny Jackett and Oscar Garcia.
Garcia is the only name on the list currently in a job. The former Brighton and Watford boss is in charge of Austrian side Red Bull Salzburg, where he won the double last term.
Hull City manager Mike Phelan
Phelan left Premier League side Hull City earlier this month after an extremely difficult first-half of the campaign, while Jackett’s most recent role saw him stay at second tier strugglers Rotherham United for just 39 days after his appointment.
But while some of the candidates may do well with Forest, the long-suffering fans would be forgiven for not getting their hopes up regarding what any of the quartet could do given the difficulty Montanier had to endure during his brief tenure.
