Nottingham Forest are reportedly pushing to sign forward Daniel Podence.

According to ZeroZero in Portugal, Nottingham Forest are in talks to sign Portuguese forward Daniel Podence after he terminated his contract with Sporting.
Forest have enjoyed an ambitious summer, which has seen them bring in three Portuguese talents in Joao Carvalho, Diogo Goncalves and Gil Dias, boosting Aitor Karanka’s hopes of a promotion push.
Now, Forest’s Portuguese influx could be set for another addition, with ZeroZero in Portugal reporting that Forest are now pushing to bring Daniel Podence to the City Ground.

It’s claimed that talks are ongoing with Podence, and Forest are pitching that he will be involved a push for the Premier League should he join Carvalho, Goncalves and Dias this summer.
Podence, 21, played 15 times for Sporting last season, notching three assists but failing to score, before the forward’s career was turned upside down with the Lisbon-based giants.
The 5ft 5in attacker is one of the players to have terminated their contracts with Sporting after being attacked by the club’s own fans during a training session, and whilst the likes of Rui Patricio, William Carvalho, Bruno Fernandes, Gelson Martins and Bas Dost have grabbed the headlines, Podence is also a wanted man.

Podence can play up front, out wide or behind a striker, and possesses great pace and trickery, with Forest now hoping to land a coup by signing him on a free transfer.
Sporting may yet contest Podence’s free agent status down the line, but Forest now appear to be working on a deal to – provisionally – lure him to the Championship.
