Nottingham Forest are reportedly pursuing Monaco’s Pele.

According to the Nottingham Post, Nottingham Forest are hoping to tie up a loan deal for Monaco midfielder Pele before tomorrow’s transfer deadline.
Forest have brought in one new face under Martin O’Neill this month, securing Leicester City defender Yohan Benalouane on loan for the rest of the season.
O’Neill may have picked up his first win over the weekend, but Forest are being linked with a whole host of signings ahead of the transfer window slamming shut on Thursday.
The Nottingham Post now report that Forest are looking to bring in Monaco midfielder Pele, with the deal set to be a loan until the end of the season.
Pele, 28, isn’t a striker like his famous namesake, but more of a central midfield player who can also play in a holding role thanks to his size and strength.
Pele only moved to Monaco for €10million (£8.75million) over the summer after scoring seven goals for Rio Ave last season, but he has struggled in Ligue 1.

The Guinea-Bissau international has started just four league games for Monaco, and looks set to leave upon Leonardo Jardim’s return as manager.
Pele is unlikely to be Forest’s final signing before the deadline, but O’Neill will hope there are no hitches with this deal as he looks to bolster his midfield options.
