Nottingham Forest could be about to land Bolton Wanderers striker Zach Clough on deadline day.
According to BBC Nottingham Sport’s Twitter account, Nottingham Forest have had a bid accepted for Bolton Wanderers striker Zach Clough.

Forest appear to have been pursuing the Trotters star for much of the day as the Nottingham Post recently reported that they had had an offer of around £2 million turned down by the League One side.

However, in a week when Nigel Clough rejected the chance to take over at Forest as manager (via Guardian), it now appears that a Clough could end the window by moving to the City Ground as BBC Nottingham Sport have reported that Forest and Bolton have agreed a fee for the highly-rated forward, which is believed to be around £2.5 million.
Should the Championship side manage to complete the deal, it would surely be an excellent piece of business.
Clough is arguably one of the brightest prospects in the Football League and has been a key part of Bolton’s success in the third tier this term, having scored nine goals in 23 league games.

That form has not gone unnoticed with the Nottingham Post reporting that a number of Championship teams, including automatic-promotion favourites Newcastle United, were interested in taking the youngster from the Macron Stadium.

But it now appears that it is Forest that will win the race for his signature, and that will surely provide fans with a lift in what has been a very difficult season for the club.
