Nottingham Forest will reportedly move on from Philippe Montanier once their takeover goes through.
According to The Sun, Nottingham Forest will sack manager Philippe Montanier once John Jay Moores’ takeover is completed, with two potential replacements named.
American businessman Moores, best known for being the former owner of the San Diego Padres in Major League Baseball, is set to takeover Forest in the near future, and that could bring around major changes.

Forest have lost three of their last four games and picked up only one league win since selling star winger Oliver Burke to RB Leipzig in August, leaving the club in 20th place in the Championship table, just two points clear of the relegation zone.
Manager Philippe Montanier may have only arrived over the summer, but the Frenchman is under massive pressure – and The Sun claim that he will be axed as soon as Moores’ takeover is completed, though it’s stated that the deal is taking a little longer than expected.
Burnley manager Sean Dyche
The report adds that Forest are already looking at two managers to possibly succeed Montanier, and one of them involved a quite bizarre plan to land Burnley boss Sean Dyche.
Dyche actually started his career with Nottingham Forest under Brian Clough, but left without making an appearance, and is now considered to be one of English football’s brightest managers.
The 45-year-old has now taken Burnley to the Premier League twice, and with the Clarets looking like they’ll have a much better chance of staying up this time around, it seems all-but impossible that Forest could lure him to help them avoid relegation no matter how much money Moores can offer, when he’s rubbing shoulders with the Premier League’s best right now.
Former Watford manager Gianfranco Zola
The other name is much more realistic, as it’s claimed that Forest are also looking at handing Gianfranco Zola a return to English football.
The ex-Chelsea striker had spells in charge of West Ham and Watford, and is out of work right now having been sacked by Qatari side Al-Arabi in June, spending less than a year in charge having won just ten of his 26 games in charge.
Zola may not inspire fans given his recent managerial record, and any notion of Dyche heading back to the City Ground seems far-fetched, so supporters may be hoping that other names get linked with the club.
