Nottingham Forest have made a new approach for Oumar Gonzalez after the Chambly defender admitted that he dreamed of playing in England, according to France Football.
While Forest’s promotion ambitions have been built on a rock-solid defensive platform, a team renowned for their watertight back line are still looking add some extra quantity to the existing quality in Sabri Lamouchi’s ranks.
Speaking to Le Parisien earlier this year when asked about a potential move to the City Ground, 22-year-old Gonzalez claimed that it is ‘one of my dreams’ to play in England.
And with France Football reporting that Nottingham Forest have stepped up their interest, Gonzalez’s ‘dream’ could soon become a reality.

The Cameroon U23 international only joined Ligue 2 outfit Chambly a year ago but, with just 12 months remaining on his contract already, a quick departure appears to be on the cards.
It remains to be seen how much Forest would have to pay, although you would assume that Gonzalez will not cost more than a seven-figure sum when you consider he will be a free agent this time next year.
