Steve Cooper’s Nottingham Forest could beat Jesse Marsch’s Leeds United to the signing of Lewis O’Brien in the summer transfer window, according to Sky Sports journalist Dharmesh Sheth.
The well-known and well-respected Sky Sports reporter has claimed that Nottingham Forest are in advanced talks with Huddersfield Town over the signing of midfielder O’Brien in the summer transfer window.
The fee would be £10 million, and there is growing believe that Forest, who will play in the Premier League next season after winning promotion from the Championship, could complete the deal soon, according to Sheth.
This latest update on the future of O’Brien will come as a blow for Leeds, who have been linked with the 23-year-old midfielder.
The Sun reported earlier in the summer that Leeds wanted to sign O’Brien from Huddersfield last summer and were planning to make a £10 million bid this time around.

However, it seems that it is Forest who are about to sign the 23-year-old.
Leeds should continue to monitor Nottingham Forest’s Lewis O’Brien
In our view, Leeds United should continue to monitor Lewis O’Brien next season if he moves to Nottingham Forest from Huddersfield Town in the summer transfer window.
O’Brien has done well in the Championship, but he has not played in the Premier League yet.
Him playing for Forest would allow Leeds to take a closer look at how the midfielder does in the Premier League, and maybe the Whites could make a bid for him next summer.
