The Nottingham Forest star was linked with a move to Birmingham City earlier in the week, but Blues boss Gianfranco Zola could be trumped by former club Watford.
Nottingham Forest midfielder Henri Lansbury is wanted by former club Watford, according to the Daily Mail.
Lansbury, who played for the Hornets on loan from Arsenal during the 2009-10 season, is out of contract at the City Ground in June.
The Daily Mirror reported this week that Forest owner Fawaz Al Hasawi has put a block on all new deals until the club’s proposed takeover goes through, leaving Lansbury’s future in even more doubt.

Championship rivals Birmingham City were linked with a move for the Reds captain this week [Birmingham Mail], with Burnley previously credited with an interest [the Sun].
Lansbury, who is Forest’s joint-top goalscorer this season with six, is not the only City Ground player said to be on Watford’s January shortlist.
The Sun reported last month that fellow midfielder Ben Osborn is also being eyed by the Hornets, along with relegation-threatened Swansea City.

Lansbury, 26, scored five goals and made another four in 39 Watford appearances.
Would Lansbury be a good signing for Watford?
