The Nottingham Forest pair are out of contract at the end of the current campaign.

Nottingham Forest are at risk of losing first team stars including Henri Lansbury and Joe Worrall, according to the Daily Mirror.

The report claims that Forest owner Fawaz Al-Hasawi has put a block on new contracts until he sells the club.

American businessman John-Jay Moores is reportedly close to a £50 million deal to buy the Championship club, however, he may be deprived of several of his prized assets by the time a deal is complete.

Lansbury and Worrall, who are the only two players named in the report, are among the nine first teamers out of contract at Forest next summer, according to Transfermarkt.

As such, both players will be able to discuss pre-contract deals with foreign clubs in January and would be free to leave the City Ground in the summer if extensions cannot be agreed.

Midfielder Lansbury – a January target for Birmingham City [Birmingham Mail] – is also said to have Premier League admirers, having scored six league goals this season, the same amount as Forest strikers Britt Assombalonga and Apostolos Vellios.

Worrall, a defender, only made his debut for the Reds in October, but is already being linked with a move to either Everton or Stoke City [Mirror].

Forest are entitled to compensation if the 19-year-old chooses to leave at the end of his contract – but only if they offer him a new deal on equal or greater terms.
