Huddersfield winger Joe Lolley is attracting plenty of Championship interest.
The Daily Mail have claimed in their transfer news blog (Wednesday, 14:17) that Championship sides Nottingham Forest and Sheffield Wednesday are eyeing a move for Huddersfield Town attacker Joe Lolley.
The 25-year-old is way down the pecking order under manager David Wagner, and that has led to the Terriers being willing to allow the versatile forward to leave the Yorkshire outfit on deadline day.
It is believed that Wagner will even sanction a permanent sale of Lolley, who has made six Premier League appearances this season and even found the back of the net during the 4-1 loss to West Ham United earlier this month.
Lolley is renowned for his versatility, as he can play on either wing in either a 4-4-2 formation or on the flanks in a front three. He can also feature as a number 10, or indeed a centre-forward himself.
The former Kidderminster and Scunthorpe attacker has just 18 months remaining on his contract with the Premier League club, and has 74 games under his belt in England’s second division.
With the 11pm deadline nearing, it remains to be seen if either Sheffield Wednesday or Nottinham Forest can land Lolley’s signature before the end of the January transfer window.
