The Italian is currently struggling for football at Pisa.

Reports in Italy are suggesting that three Championship sides are considering a move to bring former Arsenal youngster Arturo Lupoli back to English football.

Gazza Mercato reports that Nottingham Forest, Ipswich Town and Brighton and Hove Albion are all keeping tabs on the player. The report claims that Brighton’s move is fairly recent but that Forest and Ipswich have been initiating contact with the player’s representatives for some weeks.

Forest need more firepower going forward. Britt Assombalonga is set to head to the African Cup of Nations in the new year and Nicklas Bendtner, a former Arsenal team-mate of Lupoli’s. has picked up an injury problem.

Ipswich have again struggled to score goals this season and will hope to change that with a move in the winter – seemingly Lupoli is an option.

Lupoli, a former Italy under-21 international, joined Arsenal from Parma in 2004 and was a player the club had high hopes for. He spent time on loan at Derby County during his time at Arsenal, and has also been on loan at Norwich City and Sheffield United in his career.

Currently he is at Pisa but has not featured for the first-team recently and is keen on a move back to England to try and spark his career back into life.

The 29-year-old could be a perfect option for either Forest or Ipswich.
