The City Ground side are reportedly keen on the one-time Hull City star, who has helped both the Tigers and Italians Palermo get promoted to their respective top flights.

Nottingham Forest have reportedly reignited their interest in Uruguayan striker Abel Hernandez, according to Nottinghamshire Live.
The 28-year-old, who used to play for Hull City, is currently without a club since leaving Russian giants CSKA Moscow earlier this month.
Forest were linked to Hernandez both last summer and back in January, according to the East Midlands outlet, and they are believed to once again have an eye on him along with Qatari outfit Al-Rayyan.
Hernandez had a difficult season last time out, with injuries to his knee and hip restricting him to just three goals in 14 appearances, but he has experience at both Championship level and at the top table, testament to his pedigree.
He was on Hull’s books from 2014 to 2018, scoring 39 goals in 110 appearances, with 28 of those strikes coming in the second tier, while at international level he has 11 goals in 27 appearances for Uruguay.

Hernandez also has two promotions under his belt – the Championship playoffs in 2016 and the Serie B title with Palermo in 2014 – while also holding one of the most illustrious medals in the world game, having lifted the Copa America in 2011.
While his recent fitness issues make him a bit of a gamble, he definitely would have the quality and experience to play for a promotion-chasing side like Forest, who perhaps should look to offer him a short-term deal so as to minimise the risk at their end.
