Norwich City reportedly want to sign the Chelsea midfielder.

According to a report from the Sun, Norwich have joined Brighton in the race to sign Chelsea midfielder Danny Drinkwater.
The Canaries were quite simply brilliant in the Championship last season, but they will have their work cut out in the top flight, if they are to enjoy a successful campaign.
Norwich boss Daniel Farke has already brought in a handful of new signings, including the likes of Sam Byram, Josip Drmic and Patrick Roberts, but he certainly needs more additions before Thursday’s transfer deadline.
And despite Drinkwater’s struggles at Chelsea, he could be the ideal signing for the East Anglian outfit.
The Sun claims that Norwich want to sign the 29-year-old on a season-long loan, but they will face competition from Brighton for the midfielder’s signature.

Drinkwater has hardly played over the past two years, making just 23 appearances for the west London outfit.
The Englishman might be a useful addition for Norwich, however. He is hard working, tenacious in the tackle, and possesses an impressive array of passing.
And should Farke bring him to Carrow Road, it could end up being a signing of real significance for the Canaries.
