Norwich City are reportedly close to signing the German midfielder.

According to a report from the Eastern Daily Press, Norwich are on the brink of securing a permanent deal to sign Augsburg’s Moritz Leitner, after the German spent a successful loan spell at Carrow Road during the second half of last season.
The 25-year-old made 12 appearances for the Canaries in the heart of their midfield, and really impressed for Daniel Farke’s side, showcasing a certain type of tenacity that made him ideally suited to England’s second tier.

Norwich ended up in 14th position in the Championship table last term, and Farke will be desperate to guide them to a much improved campaign this season.

According to the Eastern Daily Press, Norwich have agreed a fee with Augsburg for the services of the German, as well as agreeing personal terms with the player himself.
All that remains now is for the 25-year-old to undertake his medical, according to the local newspaper, and should he pass that, he will soon officially be confirmed as a Norwich City player.
