According to the Scottish Daily Mail (04/05, back page) Norwich City are plotting a move to sign Celtic ace Ryan Christie as he prepares to lead a summer exodus at Parkhead.
It’s claimed that Christie will become the first departure of the summer at Celtic, and a move to England could now be on the cards for him.
Christie’s contract allegedly only runs until January 2022, meaning he would be able to talk to potential suitors about a pre-contract agreement this summer.
Celtic would then be under pressure to sell, and Norwich – as well as Burnley – are prepared to make offers to try and tempt Celtic into a deal.
Norwich want reinforcements having won promotion back to the Premier League, and with question marks over the future of Emiliano Buendia, a new playmaker may be wanted.
Christie fits the bill, and has notched seven goals as well as 14 assists this season. Sure, his tendency to shoot from all ranges and angles can become frustrating, but Christie undoubtedly has quality.

The 26-year-old was even compared to James Maddison – a former Norwich star – last week as former Inverness teammate Danny Williams hailed Christie to the Daily Record.
If Christie can end up having the kind of impact Maddison had at Norwich, Canaries fans would love him, and possibly leave Celtic regretting his contract situation getting to this point.
