According to the Yorkshire Evening Post, Norwich City are interested in signing Leeds United player Stuart Dallas before the transfer window slams shut next Thursday.

The Northern Ireland international has featured five times for Leeds so far this season, although his Championship contribution has been limited to three brief substitute appearances.

That said he still managed to score during his latest league outing, his strike against Sunderland ensuring Leeds ran out 2-0 winners.

He subsequently started against Newport County in the EFL Cup and provided an assist in a 5-1 victory, having also set up a goal in the 4-1 win against Port Vale in the previous round.

Dallas may be struggling to make Leeds’ starting XI for the league in the early stages of the campaign, but he will understand the need for strength in depth as his side push for promotion back to the top flight, and in time his chances should come.

Given his late introductions, his recent goal-scoring contribution and the fact that fellow winger Hadi Sacko has fallen way down the pecking order, Leeds will surely intend on keeping Dallas.

They could face a late challenge though, with the YEP citing the fact that he is in the final year of his contract, and if Dallas wants to play week in, week out, he may have to leave Leeds or accept that will not be the case…at least for now.
