The Norwich City winger is familiar to Bristol City’s manager Lee Johnson.

Norwich City’s Markey Watkins is heading to Bristol City this summer, according to the Daily Mirror (April 20th, page 57).
Watkins only moved to Norwich from Barnsley at the start of this season but has struggled to reproduce his Tykes form at Carrow Road, with only one goal and three assists to show for his 27 appearances.

A reunion with Lee Johnson, however, could help Watkins back to his best, having played under the Bristol City manager, who signed him for Barnsley.
While Watkins may have disappointed at Norwich, the Canaries at least stand to make a profit on the winger for whom they paid no transfer fee.

Norwich should be wary of losing Watkins, however, with Wes Hoolahan out of contract and James Maddison and Josh Murphy said to be attracting Premier League interest.
Another positional rival, Marcus Edwards has already returned to parent club Tottenham Hotspur, while Moritz Leitner’s loan deal expires soon.
