Norwich City will reluctantly listen to offers for Jonny Howson with the midfielder eyeing a move north, the Eastern Daily Press reports.

Norwich are said to want to extend the Leeds-born player’s contract, which expires in two years’ time.

However, it is claimed that Howson’s representative has made clear he will not commit his longer-term future to the Carrow Road club.

Having said that, the report adds that Howson is ready to “bide his time his time for the right offer”, with first club Leeds United targeting a £4 million move last month, according to Teamtalk.

However, Norwich are said to want considerably more than that, despite the player recently turning 29.

It is claimed that newly relegated sides Middlesbrough and Sunderland could have the resources to meet the Canaries’ valuation, with Premier League Burnley another potential destination.
