Norwich City are ready to step up their pursuit of Sheffield Wednesday head coach Carlos Carvalhal, the Mirror reports.
The Canaries are said to have put Carvalhal at the top of their list of targets to succeed Alex Neil, after Wednesday’s play-off semi-final defeat to Huddersfield.
The Portuguese boss has led the Owls to sixth- and fourth-placed finishes in his two seasons at Hillsborough, where he is out of contract this summer.
And Porto, with whom Carvalhal spent a season as a player, are also said to be interested in the 51-year-old amid doubts over the future of Nuno Espirito Santo.

Post-Huddersfield, Carvalhal told BBC Radio Sheffield he plans discuss his own future with Wednesday chairman Dejphon Chansiri.
The Owls were linked with a move for former Crystal Palace boss Alan Pardew earlier this week.

Norwich have been without a manager since sacking Neil at the start of March – six days after his side’s 5-1 defeat to Wednesday at Hillsborough.
The Canaries’ recent cost-cutting measures suggest Carvalhal would have a smaller budget to work with at Carrow Road, whereas Porto could offer him a chance to manage in next season’s Champions League.
Would Wednesday’s Carvalhal be a good appointment for Norwich?
