Norwich City arguably had the most exciting youngsters in the Premier League last season. The Canaries unfortunately suffered relegation, but a few of their players made a name for themselves.
Tom Cantwell was their star last term and has reportedly been on the shortlist of a number of clubs. Ben Godfrey has also attracted interest, while Jamal Lewis has already swapped Carrow Road for Newcastle United.
Young Max Aarons, however, was the one player who multiple top clubs were reportedly looking at. The young full-back was linked to a whole host of Premier League sides, but his performances caught the eye of top teams away from England as well.
Sky Germany claimed in July that German champions Bayern Munich had tabled an £18.2 million bid to sign the young Englishman. The Bundesliga giants seem to have focused their attention on Ajax’s Sergino Dest, who is reportedly closer to a move to Bavaria than to Barcelona.
Barcelona are still trying to get Dest but their chances look slim now. The Catalans have a backup option and, if a report is to believed, he is itching for a move to Camp Nou as well.
Aarons has agreed personal terms with Barcelona
Spanish outlet Sport claims that Barcelona and Aarons have agreed a five-year deal ahead of a potential move. The report claims that the youngster has been a fan of the club ever since he was a kid, and he would love to make the switch this summer.

Norwich are holding out for a fee in the region of £20 million plus a further £10 million in add-ons. The Canaries reportedly rejected a loan offer from Barcelona last Friday which did not include an obligation to buy.
The report claims that Norwich will accept a loan offer only if Barcelona agree to buy Aarons next summer. There is a feeling that the Canaries are prepared to lower their asking price as well, which makes the deal very much possible.
It will be interesting to see how this pans out. If the report is anything to go by, both clubs and the player are positive about a move, but with less than two weeks left in the window, they will have to sort things out very quickly.
