The Black Cats are keen on the 29-year-old goalkeeper.

According to the Daily Mail, Sunderland’s bid for Norwich City goalkeeper John Ruddy has been rejected.
The Black Cats are expected to have a busy deadline day as David Moyes looks to add to his squad before the transfer window closes.
The goalkeeper position is one that may be where he looks to improve after an injury to Vito Mannone left Jordan Pickford as his only senior goalkeeper.

The youngster is highly rated at the club, but a mistake in the clash with Southampton on Saturday may have hinted he is not yet ready to be a regular in the Premier League.
Sky Sports reported early on Wednesday that they were interested in a move for Ruddy as a result.

However, according to the Daily Mail their initial bid for the 29-year-old has been rejected by Norwich City.
The goalkeeper is one of the key men in Alex Neill’s side and it appears they are not keen on losing him, especially with such little time to find an adequate replacement.
Of course, there is every chance that a new and improved approach from Sunderland may change that standpoint before the end of the window.
