One of the Bundesliga’s most reliable goalkeeper’s Ralf Fahrmann appears to be on his way to the Premier League to join Daniel Farke’s Canaries.

Norwich City are closing in on another new signing with Schalke captain Ralf Fahrmann closing in on a season-long loan move to Carrow Road, according to Bild.
The Canaries have already completed a number of deals as they prepare for life back in the Premier League with Patrick Roberts and Josip Drmic arriving from Manchester City and Borussia Monchengladbach respectively.
Highly-rated Partick Thistle winger Aidan Fitzpatrick is also Anglia-bound after the club’s CEO, Gerry Britton, confirmed to the club’s official website that a bid had been accepted.
And Norwich are now on the verge of signing a new goalkeeper to provide competition for Tim Krul, who recently signed a new contract. Fahrmann was first linked with a move last week but, according to Bild, a deal is now increasingly close to being agreed.
30-year-old Fahrmann is a modern-day legend at Schalke, having risen through the ranks at this proud old club before making over 200 first-team appearances via a short spell at Eintracht Frankfurt.

He was one of the Bundesliga’s most reliable custodians for a number of years but found himself dumped midway through last season for Alexander Nubel. Though this was less a reflection on Fahrmann’s ability, more a sign that the ‘new Manuel Neuer’ Nubel is an elite goalkeeping talent who simply could not be denied a first-team place.
Fahrmann could be another superb addition to a Norwich side put together by the talent-spotting genius of sporting director Stuart Webber, who has also brought the likes of Onel Hernandez, Marco Stiepermann and Mario Vrancic to Carrow Road from German football.
