Huddersfield Town’s Alex Pritchard could be set for a return to Championship rivals Norwich City or Brentford in a £6 million deal before the transfer window closes, according to TEAMtalk.
With top scorer and talisman Karlan Grant left out of the Terriers’ squad yet again during Saturday’s 3-0 thrashing at Brentford, the last thing Huddersfield manager Carlos Corberan needs is speculation surrounding the future of another of his influential attackers.
However, Pritchard has never hit the heights expected of him in Yorkshire and, if the reaction to Huddersfield’s defeat at the Brentford Community Stadium is anything to go by, the former Tottenham youngster is rapidly approaching scapegoat territory.
With that in mind, Pritchard could be forgiven for jumping ship from a sinking Huddersfield side.
Especially when you consider Norwich and Brentford, two of his former clubs, already look genuine promotion candidates.

The 27-year-old, who is valued at £6 million, produced the best football of his career at Griffin Park and Carrow Road.
He scored a lifetime-best 12 Championship goals during a stellar loan spell in Brentford colours during the 2014/15 season.
TEAMtalk suggests Huddersfield may be forced to cash in if the club receives an acceptable offer and, with Said Benrahma set to follow Ollie Watkins out the door, Brentford aren’t short of a penny or two at present.
