Newcastle United’s planned bid for Franck Kessie will not be accepted by AC Milan, according to Tutto Mercato Web.
With Newcastle set for a takeover, a whole host of players have been touted as potential targets for the Magpies.
Kessie is now said to be on their radar, but Newcastle’s planned offer is set to be knocked back.
Steve Bruce’s side were said to be prepping a loan bid for Kessie, which could turn into a permanent transfer at the end of the season.
Newcastle were reported to be willing to pay up to £27 million for the central midfielder, but Milan don’t want to let him go on a loan basis.

Instead the Italian side want the money up-front this summer, which puts any potential move to Newcastle in serious doubt.
If Kessie was to move to St. James’ Park he would offer Newcastle an increased presence in central midfield, as well as a great deal of technical ability.
But Newcastle may well have their eyes on other targets when their takeover does go through now, as Milan seemingly want a sizeable offer for Kessie to even consider letting him go.
