West Ham United have yet to make an official approach for Celtic striker Odsonne Edouard, according to The Daily Record.

The report has claimed that Brendan Rodgers’s Leicester City could make a move for the Frenchman in the summer of 2021, with Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur also monitoring the 23-year-old.

The Daily Star reported on Saturday that West Ham will push to sign the £35 million-rated striker before the end of the January transfer window.

Leaving it too late

West Ham need to sign a striker following the departure of Sebastien Haller to Ajax earlier this month, but the Hammers are leaving it too late.

True, Celtic are having a bad season and are unlikely to win the Scottish Premiership title for the 10th year in a row, but they may not still be willing to sell one of the best players this month.

Edouard is a good striker, although like the rest of his teammates he is not having a great season.

According to WhoScored, the 23-year-old striker has scored seven goals and provided two assists in 15 Scottish Premiership matches for the Hoops so far this season.
