Newcastle United boss Rafael Benitez has been demanding money for transfers recently.

Ashley’s and Benitez’s relationship at St. James’ Park has become strained, with the Newcastle owner seemingly not backing his manager with the funds he would like this month.
Benitez wants three new additions to ensure that Newcastle have enough quality to remain in the Premier League.
However, it seems that the Magpies will be shopping on a limited budget again, with Ashley preferring not to invest heavily.

Ashley has Newcastle up for sale, and with his future uncertain he has decided so far that spending big money on new players would not be a good option for him.
Newcastle are in serious danger of relegation though, as things stand, with Benitez’s side sitting in 18th place in the Premier League table.
The Magpies lost 2-1 to Chelsea at Stamford Bridge in their last fixture to pile further pressure on Benitez’s men.
